My name is Marinka Wijngaard, I am a policy officer at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and have had the pleasure to have worked with Voice during the past years. Voice has taught me valuable lessons about the importance and the impact of inclusion and diversity. Lessons that I also take with me in other parts of my work within the Ministry. There are many magical memories I have about Voice. One is the amazing and powerful Slam-poetry performance from grantee partner Agoratoire in Mali who we visited in 2018. It was the first time for me to hear slam poetry, which immediately hit me as a super powerful method to teach, connect, inspire and to create inclusion.
