Re-lokkol is a non-governmental organisation working to improve education, leadership and social change. Re-lokkol works in partnership with government, educators, journalists, technologists, media, communities, and activists to advance leadership, knowledge sharing, and human capital development in the Sahel region and around the world.
One of the major projects launched by Re-lokkol is the creation of the African Development Universalis (A.D.U.), which is the first non-profit university in Niger. A university of excellence with close to 70% women and 90% of the students are from modest backgrounds benefiting from up to 100% financial aid. Through this strategic project, more than two hundred and fifty (250) young women and men have access to quality higher education. Re-lokkol also enables the university to offer education to Nigeriens who aspire to learn English as a second language, where they receive the language skills necessary to communicate effectively in their businesses and with their partners around the world.
A development actor decisively committed to providing opportunities for the most disadvantaged young women and men, the members who make up the organisation are also facilitators, connectors, amplifiers and sharers.
Over the years, the NGO has developed experience and expertise in facilitating dynamic learning and fruitful exchange processes, a strong track record in publishing thought-provoking reports and publications where information and data are presented in creative and engaging ways.
The NGO Re-lokkol was conceived as a platform to which all kinds of initiatives that share the same mission and values could be added. All the successful initiatives the organisation has undertaken have been in collaboration with serious players who share our vision of the world: The Mastercard Foundation, The British Embassy, UNICEF, UNDP and Oxfam.

Project
In Niger, the facilitation of the Linking and Learning component is carried out by the NGO Re-lokkol.
To design its approach, the organisation was inspired by the medical-physical principles of the human voice and developed a 3-phase approach, each consisting of 3 types of activities:
- Initiating the voice: these are the introductory activities that constitute the foundations for the success of the two years of the project
- Amplifying the voice: these are the main activities that will be implemented for the success of the project
- Sustaining the voice: how to go beyond the two years of the project with a sustained impact on organisations and rightsholders.
As specialists in Design Thinking and Project Management, the implementation team aims to train all partners in the use of state-of-the-art tools so that they can hone their communication and project management skills and apply them in the implementation of these projects and beyond.
Re-lokkol’s 24-months Linking and Learning facilitation will also include the creation of spaces for exchange with former programme partners in Niger.
