What is the Empowerment Accelerated Grant?
It is a form of Empowerment grant exclusively open to previous and current Voice Philippines Empowerment Grantees. Its aim is to promote and sustain the participation of rightsholders where they can continue to deepen their empowerment processes at the individual, group, and/or organisational levels.
Who can apply?
- Previous and current Empowerment Grantees of Voice in the Philippines
- Informal groups that have had (previous) hosting arrangements with Empowerment Grantees of Voice in the Philippines.
If you are a previous or current Voice Empowerment Grantee then this Call may be for you!
How much can you apply for?
You can apply for Empowerment Accelerator grants worth €5,000 to €50,000 or approximately ₱265,000 to ₱2,900,000.
How long is an Empowerment Accelerated project?
An Empowerment Accelerator project usually has a 15-month minimum timeframe and a maximum time frame of 30 months.
What kind of projects can you propose?
Voice accepts projects that are related to the previous Empowerment project you have with us, working towards:
- Increasing access to productive resources (finance, land and water) and employment;
- Increasing access to social services, health and education in particular; and
- Strengthening space for political participation
What kind of activities will be funded?
Your application needs to build on your previous or existing Empowerment grant with Voice. We encourage you to look back on your project and come up with innovative ideas linked to:
- Addressing the blind spots identified in your (previous) project implementation
- Capitalising on an opportunity that arose from your collaboration with other organisations during your (previous) Voice project
- Enhancing the project log-frame or work plan based on previous learning
- Expanding the reach of or levelling-up your successful intervention
- Leveraging project outcomes to ensure impact will be achieved.
We also recommend that you look into the Philippines Context Analysis to gauge your proposal better with the intervention areas/initiatives Voice currently prioritises. The possibilities are endless!
