What a wonderful journey being part of Voice has been. I have had several magic moments in the five years I was part of the Voice team, but one that stands out for me was the visit to the coastal Mijikenda community with a Voice partner Ticah who shared their indigenous culture and healing practices. This visit showed us how the conversations between traditional healing and modern healing practices aligned with each other by having conversations between the elderly and young within the community. It was an eye opening day and wonderful to be immersed in the coastal cultural practices.
