    • Project

Through this project, Leadership Challenges plans to initiate a process of community mobilisation at the grassroots level, aimed at empowering the various actors (women, youth, men, community structures, local elected officials) to challenge the obstacles linked to the enjoyment of citizens’ rights in a manner that respects diversity, thereby promoting social inclusion and social, economic and political empowerment.
Indeed, even if the lack of knowledge of the laws in favour of women, social constraints(habits, customs, mores, prejudices, stereotypes), and the lack of financial resources for women negatively influence their political leadership, the fact remains that women’s inferiority complex and the loss of schooling for girls are some of the main causes of their representation in decision-making bodies, which requires a certain level of education. Hence the need for this project to think about strategies for creating leadership at the grassroots level by putting girls around structures known as “Nursery Girls Leaders” for the preparation of the next generation on the one hand, and those for strengthening the leadership of women and youth for better participation in community activities on the other.
