From Mali with love

A poem to Voice from the Voice target groups

It is for me, Katoucha, a woman with disabilities, a great honour end joy to recite this poem on behalf:

  • Persons with disabilities;
  • Women facing exploitation, abuse and/or violence
  • Age-discriminated vulnerable groups, such as the young and senior citizens
  • Indigenous people and ethnic minorities

Voice

You aim to strengthen the lobby and advocacy capacity of civil society organisations and representatives of the most marginalised and discriminated groups ;

Voice

You enable the target groups to have their voices heard and respected by using innovative ideas.

Voice

You allow the most marginalised and discrminated groups to express their opinions and to claim their rights with authorities;  Right to education! Right to health! Right to employment! Right to participate in decision-making!

Voice

Persons with disabilities should not and are no longer seen as in-capables but rather as handi-able

Thank you Voice

For strengthening our lobby and advocacy capacity
For our empowerment
To have created a Linking and learning that enables sharing of lessons learned in a framework of mutual learning

We civil society organisations
in a low income country are able to participate actively in development processes  in Mali – thanks to Voice
Also, we invite our government to pay more attention to respect our rights
We like to acknowledge the engagement of the Malian government,  development partners to support vulnerable and marginalised groups.  Every one of us has a responsability and role to play, and together we are going to overcome the barriers to inclusion for a better life for all.

Here is to inclusion,for a safer Mali!
Nothing about us without us!
Hand in hand we will overcome!!
