    • Project

“Women leadership is SMART Leadership ” project is a blended approach to promote freedom which will amplify and combine the efforts and progressive work on faith and feminism by communities and change-makers. We use film as a mirror to reflect how women facing marginalisation in the communities exercise their faith and feminism. The project addresses abuse, marginalisation and side-lining of girls and women, including gender-based violence in its entirety – physical, emotional and psychological. Through this film, we aim to change the fragmented discourse on freedom by change makers and communities, by creating a collaborative and fostering environment for robust participation of marginalised girls and women in civic and political spaces that promote and amplify individual and community voices to speak and be heard about their experiences in faith and feminism.
Project activities include community outreaches targeted at rightsholder groups and community stakeholders including change-makers, a networking platform for players and proponents of faith and feminism, strengthening the capacity of rightsholder groups and community stakeholders, producing and airing a 13-episode TV drama series focusing on women facing marginalisation and political leadership to carry out community discussions based on the film.
