• To champion the fight against disability and its effects through screening, prevention, rehabilitation, employment, etc.
• To search and improve the moral and civic welfare of people with disabilities, regardless of the benefit of social laws by creating institutions likely to contribute to the achievement of the objectives.
• To educate and train people with disabilities.
The goals set by the federation are vital for the protection and promotion of people with disabilities and the means it must implement must be rationally managed to allow maximum results with the minimum input, hence the need to combat the misuse of financial resources.

Project
Acting for the rights of disabled people a Voice-funded project focuses on strengthening the participation of youth in public and political spaces. The project supports people with disabilities in Niger, mainly those in the regions of Maradi, Tahoua, Tillabery and Niamey through their Disabled People Organisations. The project works with individuals of all types of disability, regardless of race, ethnicity or culture between the ages of 15 to 35 years old. They sensitise 10,000 people with at least 360 people living with disabilities coming from 20 Disabled People Organisations capacities whose capacities are to be strengthened.
The project promotes the empowerment of people with disabilities to increase their influence through their participation in public and political life on the one hand, and the development, the implementation and the monitoring of inclusive development policies, plans and programmes at the local and national levels on the other hand.
The project strengthens the technical and organisational capacities of Disabled People’s Organisations and civil society organisations in order to implement and coordinate advocacy with local and national public authorities to promote the participation of persons with disabilities in decision-making, and the implementation of inclusive public policies that take into account the needs of all citizens, especially those with disabilities and their families.
