The Tournons la Page (TLP) coalition in Niger is an integral part of the global “Tournons La Page” (Let’s Turn the Page) campaign, an international citizen movement present in Africa and Europe with the aim to promote sound practice and alternating democracies. Created in 2014, Tournons La Page is currently present in eight Francophone African countries (Burundi, Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Niger and Ivory Coast) and in Europe. It has over 220 member organisations and partners with many powerful and legitimate NGOs (Secours Catholique Caritas – France, Misereor, Amnesty International, Front Line Defender, ACAT, Survival, etc.).

Project
The project titled Together for Tax Justice, Accountability and Democracy in Niger influences public policies towards greater tax justice and the deepening of democracy in Niger. The project strengthens the capacity of Nigerien Civil Society Organisations to act and mobilise citizens through significant local deployment and youth awareness. The project also documents cases of corruption and act effectively to ensure that they do not go unpunished.
Tournons La Page Niger actors collectively work to strengthen the monitoring and control role of civil society organisations through having a dialogue with the public authorities and acting as relays for the interests and needs of the population.
