The Center for Youth Advocacy and Networking, Inc. (CYAN), is a youth-led, youth-serving non-government, and non-profit organisation that envisions a community where young people are
empowered and able to effect societal change towards a truly just and democratic society.
It works to contribute to building of platforms for young people’s empowerment, meaningful
participation, and youth agenda-development. CYAN provides capacity building and technical
assistance to youth organisations, promotes partnerships and networking to help them inform and
influence policies. CYAN is a community of learners who openly shares ideas, competencies and knowledge to effectively engage institutional processes and meaningfully contribute in social change. CYAN is also part of various pro-democracy coalitions and networks such as: Coalition Against the Marcos Burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (Heroes’ Cemetery), First Time Voters Network, Youth Vote Philippines, Sanguniang Kabataan Reform Coalition, Youth for Sexual and Reproductive Health among others.

SAKAbataan hopes to contribute to youth participation in policy dialogues by convening a youth-led coalition of young farmers and young farmer allies who are organised and are able to champion young farmers’ agenda in policy-making at the national and local levels. The project aims to contribute in making agricultural sector policy more responsive to young farmers’ needs and therefore increasing youth participation in the agricultural sector.
