Project
Helping our Sisters is implemented by ATC to support vulnerable women, more specifically sex workers who are stigmatised and considered as secondary in their community. Sex workers deal with social attitudes like stigma and, since they are victims of prejudice and lack respect from others, they end up feeling inadequate and inferior to others.
The Au secours nos soeurs (helping our sisters) project facilitates the mobilisation of sex workers to overcome their stigmatisation through grouping and establishing community organisations within their groups. The objective of establishing community organisations enables the group to identify its objectives, seek to solve them by developing internal and external resources, and in doing so develop its capacity for cooperation and collaboration.
