    • Project

The Don’t leave us behind project raises awareness of issues that stigmatise and increase vulnerability of women with disabilities. This is done through building leadership and advocacy skills for women with disabilities (WWD) in a network with 52 members from 17 provinces. The network is a platform to address the issues of women with disabilities and to hold duty bearers accountable.

This project targets Battambang and Takeo provinces for 12 months. It involves a series of activities such as organising and hosting major skill-building events, provincial forums as well as local NGO and stakeholder network meetings. The women members come together to support each other, reflect, learn and share experiences. Other activities of the project seek to influence decision-makers at national levels such as those that are participating in the National Disability Strategic Plan (NDSP) discussions, National Disability Network quarterly meetings and other relevant national platforms.
