CARREFOUR DEVELOPMENT (CAR.D) is a non-profit, non-political Malian non-governmental organization, created in December 1993; The NGO has approved in February 1994 following receipt No. 0086 MATS DNAT from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Security. It signed its Framework Agreement with the government of the Republic of Mali on August 25, 1994, and registered under number 491, defining the legal framework for its cooperation. This agreement was renewed on February 14, 2008, and registered under No. 0209/000491.
The NGO is structured as a General Assembly, Steering Committee, Executive Management. Its mission is to promote participatory development of grassroots communities by strengthening their self-management capacities.
Vision: To be in 5 years a leading organization in terms of skills transfer so that the community takes charge of its own developmentMission: To contribute to the improvement of the economic, social, and cultural conditions of the communities through relevant and innovative projects and programs to ensure the support of their own development in the fields of Health, Education, Environment, Decentralization, Gender Promotion, Agriculture, IGA, Conflict Prevention, and Management
To improve access to sexual and reproductive health services for young people, adolescents, and women with hearing impairments, priority actions such as a baseline study will serve as evidence and argument during the advocacy actions that will be undertaken, in addition to capacity building activities, large scale campaigns, as well as joint activities with other organizations (voice and non-voice grant), will contribute to the national processes in favor of the revision of the 02-044 law.
Specifically, this will involve
1) Improve the level of knowledge of the targets (providers and rights holders) on their sexual rights
2) To accompany and contribute to national advocacy processes aimed at the appropriation, popularization and revision of law N°02-0544 through advocacy actions at the highest level
3) Carry out actions aimed at facilitating communication between health care providers and the targets
