Agoratoire is a “promotional space for Arts and Culture”, and a cultural and artistic organization created in 2008 by some students of the Conservatory of Mali. The members are composed, among others, of young musicians, singers, slam/ spoken word artists, playwrights, storytellers, filmmakers, visual artists and designers. Together, we work for the promotion of arts and culture in Mali and on the international scene.
Agoratoire called “Maison Agoratoire” whose purpose is to educate, inform, train and educate, promote art and culture. We welcome and train young people to write and do oral and scenic performance. We also organise national and international cultural and artistic residencies and scenes.
Agoratoire is primarily a cultural space and promotes art and culture, but we do this with a social mission. We believe that art can bring people together, who then learn from each other by creating together. In that regard we promote peace and reconciliation, diversity, girls andwomen#s rights, and social inclusion. We conduct educational and fun activities and do our actions with the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in society; with them, not for them. Agoratoire is a pioneer, being a cultural organization working with people with disabilities
