Project
The beautiful echo project demonstrates the different capacities of women with disabilities by engaging them in innovative activities and encouraging them to undertake projects for their empowerment. This is done through Artistic workshops that are organised to introduce women with disabilities to their talents; particularly visually impaired girls, hearing impaired girls and fistula survivors.
The project equips women with storytelling techniques, painting, puppetry, and the creation of art objects. The project also contributes to promoting women’s rights and their duties in raising their awareness of citizenship and cultural identification in order to give them the opportunity to express themselves on all themes and in particular on gender-based violence and discrimination. The project is being implemented in Maradi region and in the city of Niamey.
