This document contains the key lessons learned from the Knowledge Exchange titled  “Taking Charge, Making Change—Rightsholders Leading Initiatives to Enhance Inclusive Governance” Knowledge Exchange that was organized by Voice, the Coady Institute, and the Emerging Leaders Foundation-Africa (ELF-Africa), on November 21st – 22nd, 2024, in Nairobi, Kenya. This event was part of the “From Open to Inclusive Governance” Initiative co-financed by Voice and the Hewlett Foundation. during this 2-day event participants shared insights and learnings on leveraging local knowledge for responsive interventions, the power of storytelling, lessons on relationship-building, centering the voice of rightsholders in policy processes and sustainability.
