Promoting children’s rights: honouring domestic workers
As part of the implementation of its programme “Upholding rights and status of young housegirls in Bamako and beyond”, Gradem in collaboration with other local partners organised an inception workshop to validate the advocacy paper on protecting the rights and improving the status of young domestic workers in Bamako and rural areas.
The workshop took place on Thursday 2 November 2017 at the Grand Hôtel, under the chairmanship of Mrs. Diallo Kama Sakiliba, representing the Minister for Women, Children and Family Promotion. The program is funded by Voice (Mali influence grant).
The ceremony was also attended by Bassan dite Badiallo, Speaker of the Children’s Parliament, Mrs. Togo Marie Togo, representing the Minister for Vocational Training, Paul Claudel, Oxfam Mali representative, and the spokesperson for the domestic workers, Mamou Dembélé.
