Maureen Ava Mata

Maureen Ava Mata is a bone cancer survivor, a leader, an influencer, a disability and gender advocate, and a woman with disability who fights for the inclusion, dignity, and rights of persons with disabilities. She graduated Medicine at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila) and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at University of Makati.

She is a member of several NGOs (i.e. Move as One Coalition – commuters rights, Advocates of Inclusion, Legal Network for Truthful Elections)for inclusion of persons with disabilities.

She is also A member of the board of several organizations of persons with disabilities (i.e. AKAP-Pinoy, WOWLeap) and also a Council Member of the National Anti-Poverty Commission Persons with Disabilities Sectoral Council.
