EHI is a non-profit that started as a peer to peer mentorship support program for female students across Kenyan universities in Western Kenya. The organisation was registered in 2019 as a community organisation that works across a number of programs that empower women and girls to agents of social and economic change.

EHI envisions “Inclusion, social and economic independence for young mothers in schools & colleges, young women leaders and women entrepreneurs in Kenya’. Our Goal is to ensure that young mothers excel in education and in motherhood. We do this through:
1. A rotational Peer to Peer Day Care Services To provide babysitting services so that young mothers in schools and colleges can attend their classes.
2.Life-skills Training; To equip young mothers in schools and colleges with social and inter- personal skills that enable them to cope with the demands of mother- hood and education.
3. Psycho-Social Support To provide mental health support to young mothers in schools and colleges and,
4. Business skills Training To equip young mothers in schools with hands-on skills that will enable them to make an income. This has been implemented for 4 plus years now and expanded drastically when the organisation was officially registered in 2019.
