Our proposed innovation is premised around the concept of “SocialContact” which entails a discussion between someone with a livedexperience of a mental health problem and has disclosed (mentalhealth champion) and one without (or has not disclosed). The mental health champions are persons with lived experiences who have overcome barriers and are willing to share their experienceswith other people (during social contact) to help those silently battling mental health problems ‘Speak Up’ and those without problems to ‘Be More Kind’.
