Migori County Youth Forum (MCYF) is an umbrella body of 1325 village youth Bunges (Youth Groups) with a membership of about 27,000 across Migori County; the organization is registered by the Ministry of Social, Gender and Sports. The organization has strategic objectives of reducing vulnerability and increase in the income base of Youth, women and persons living with disability, supporting the establishment of consolidation of a culture of peace, leadership and good governance within Migori County. The youth groups drawn from all over Migori County came together to form a formidable force to demand the rights of the youths through meaningful engagement with the County and national government officers, institutions, and departments.

My Tax my Voice Project is an initiative that will mobilize the local and indigenous community members who are the tax payers through citizen grassroots forums to empower them with information about the devolved funds so that they can hold elected leaders, government officers and other duty holders accountable. This is aimed at ensuring proper utilization of the public devolved funds at the county level. The main objective of this project is to advance the interest of the youth and adults in the County government policies, legislations, budgets and prioritization of community projects processes and also to improve space for citizen participation.
