The F.E.M.A.P.H (Malian Federation of Associations of Disabled People):
Created in 1982, the Malian Federation of Associations of People with Disabilities is the umbrella federation of 15 national associations of people with disabilities.
With 9,000 members, the associations represent the different types of disabilities.
There are 8 regional federations (FERAPH) and 44 local federations (FELAPH).
The FEMAPH is the main interlocutor of the State in the implementation of its policy for the promotion ofdisabled people.
The vocations of the FEMAPH:
To fight against prejudices, to defend the rights of disabled people.
To promote the organization and development of prevention, education, rehabilitation and social reintegration programs in collaborationwith member associations.
To coordinate the activities of the associations, to strengthen their capacities and to promote the exchange of information and experiences between the associations, at the national, regional and international levels.
To supportthe public authorities in adopting and applying legislation relating to the protection, training and employment of people with disabilities.
The specific objectives:
• Strengthen the capacities of women living with disabilities in matters of sexual and reproductive health rights,
• Improve the legal framework through advances in terms of advocacy and lobbying on GBV and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights including the rights of women with disabilities by mid-2023
