Binti Filmu Foundation (BFF) interventions focus on empowering girls and young women through education, with a specific focus on girls’ school attendance and retention, non-formal health education, entrepreneurship and vocational training aimed at preparing adolescent children and young women for life beyond the classroom. Adolescent girls and young women are a significant part of the next generation of global economic and social actors. Still, young women and adolescent girls do have the same opportunities as young men to access jobs, gain financial independence and become productive members of society. Helping girls and young women to stay in school, avoid early pregnancy and marriage, gain productive skills, build capital assets, and find jobs are critical interventions to improve their life chances.

Let’s Talk, I Can project aims to promote gender equality and equal economic opportunities for both indigenous women and men, as well as to promote enhancement of gender roles and standards for indigenous women and men, eliminating restricting standards. Binti Filamu Foundation, during and at the end of this project, aims to seek changes in various forms towards gender equality. First, there is an increase in indigenous women engaging in small farming, access to low-quality seedlings, farm machinery, marketing information, and agronomic advice. Since Binti Filamu Foundation intends to establish a farm hub, the changes include more than 100-150 smallholder indigenous farmers to be linked to 15- 25 buyers within and outside the area. This will include small to medium buyers, processors, and export companies.
