    FarmABILITY started as an informal group in 2018 and was finally able to be officially registered as an NGO on August 31, 2020. FarmABILITY main office is in Musoma, Mara region. Through its beginnings, FarmABILITY was able to conduct economic and social activities for vulnerable groups, including mothers, the elderly, young people, people with disabilities and people experiencing violence. The projects implemented by FarmABILITY include vegetable cultivation funds for 15 vulnerable and widowed women in 2021 as well as a project to build the capacity of food vending for 60 young mothers who were expelled from school due to pregnancy before the law was changed in 2021. So far, FarmABILITY continues to carry out its duties to bring about change in society, including building awareness, changing attitudes, creating opportunities and employment, as well as the defence of rights and inclusion for all people.

      FarmABILITY aims to contribute to the reduction of unemployment for 55 Young Mothers by creating an entrepreneurship opportunity of breeding and rearing 300 local ducks for meat and eggs in Musoma Council for 15 months. Only those with less than one dollar income and no other economic opportunities due to the effects of the Covid 19 pandemic or any valence history are eligible. The indirect beneficiaries will reach another 200 people living in the Musoma Council’s 16 wards. The young mothers will be equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge of the best scientific methods of duck rearing, such as quality breeding, products, nutrition, medications, shed balance, and marketing.
