We are thrilled to share the final publication of Voice, closing an extraordinary eight-year journey promoting inclusion and collective learning. Over this time, Voice allocated over €60 million to support 748 rightsholder-led projects across Africa and Asia. This report offers a full account of our operations, closing finances, and the key lessons the Voice team has gathered from years of collaboration, experimentation, and reflection.

At the heart of the report is a Meta-Analysis of Voice’s impact, offering a comprehensive look at how rightsholder-led projects delivered transformative change across three core impact areas. Rather than simply tracking outputs or outcomes, the study delves into the lived experiences of grantee partners and rights-holders, exploring how their empowerment translated into tangible change within communities and broader societal processes. By synthesising evidence from multiple sources and centring the voices of those directly involved, the Meta-Analysis highlights the achievements of rightsholders in fostering inclusion and reducing inequality, reflects on lessons learned and areas for improvement, and provides valuable insights to inform future funding and programme design in similar contexts.

The report also features a final reflection, identifying the “pending homework” that we hope other donors and grant-makers will carry forward to continue strengthening inclusion and mutual accountability.
