    • Project

The project Lutte et prévention contre les violences sexuelles et sexistes à Bamako / Fighting and preventing sexual and gender-based violence in Bamako, aims to promote the protection of young girls against sexual and gender-based violence in the municipalities I and IV of the District of Bamako. The project will be carried out through an approach centred on young girls facing violence, specifically survivors, in order to break the taboo. The survivors of violence, who serve as focal points, will bring their voices through testimonies and will share their experiences. The project will use social media in collaboration with bloggers to influence and denounce cases of violations. A monitoring platform will be set up and will work closely with the girls’ representatives to denounce and challenge all cases of violations. A strong alliance will be built with human rights defenders, together with awareness raising campaigns, case monitoring, capacity building and direct dialogue and advocacy with judicial and local authorities involved in the fight and repression of sexual and gender-based violence (Prosecutors, Courts, municipalities).
