Project
With this grant, KCWEP envision to continue working with widows and women with disabilities in two wards of Shinyalu sub-county namely; Isukha North and Muranda wards on a voice funded project called “Amplifying voice and inclusivity for widows and women living with disabilities”. The project targeted to reach 1600 widows and PLWD directly, and 11200 indirect beneficiaries, but we were able to reach out to 1896 direct beneficiaries (1422 females and 400 males) out of this number 120 were PLWD (90 females and 30 males. 26286 persons (19715 females and 6571 males) were reached indirectly. The success was attributed to the fact that all stakeholders including the community supported the project entirely and the champions were carefully selected and well capacity built.
