L\u00b4autonomisation des femmes pour la transformation sociale, <\/em>en bref WEST, est un projet mis en \u0153uvre par le Cambodian Women\u2019s Crisis Centre (CWCC) dot\u00e9 d\u00b4une subvention d\u00b4influence<\/a>. Le projet s\u00b4efforce d\u00b4aborder et de r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes rencontr\u00e9s par trois groupes de femmes :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1.  Les femmes vuln\u00e9rables et celles victimes de violence bas\u00e9e sur le genre (comme les abus sexuels, le trafic \/ l\u2019exploitation et la violence domestique),<\/li>
  2.  Les femmes \u00e2g\u00e9es dont les enfants ont migr\u00e9 en Tha\u00eflande pour travailler et qui sont laiss\u00e9es \u00e0 la maison pour s\u00b4occuper de leurs petits-enfants, et<\/li>
  3.  enfin, les femmes et les filles vivant avec un handicap.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Ci-dessous les voix de changement de trois femmes, suivant trois voies diff\u00e9rentes. Leurs histoires montrent la force dans l’adversit\u00e9, s’\u00e9levant au-del\u00e0 pour revendiquer leur espace et faire valoir leurs voix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Faites la connaissance de Phel, 39 ans, de la province de Banteay Meanchey !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Phel est fi\u00e8re d’\u00eatre le soutien, le mentor et la protectrice de sa famille. Son chemin vers la libert\u00e9 financi\u00e8re n’a pas toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 facile. En effet, elle a d\u00fb subir plusieurs revers. Une courte maladie ayant affect\u00e9 le fonctionnement complet de ses bras et de ses jambes a conduit \u00e0 la perte d\u00b4opportunit\u00e9s de travail. Le fait d’\u00eatre veuve a caus\u00e9 un ressentiment suppl\u00e9mentaire. Phel est devenue difficile \u00e0 satisfaire. Ses relations avec les autres sont devenues tendues, surtout avec ses deux enfants et son vieux p\u00e8re qui sont toute sa famille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    La rencontre avec Mme Keung du programme WEST lui a rappel\u00e9 la bonne personne qu\u00b4elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 et ce qui est important dans la vie. Elle a tellement chang\u00e9 que sa fille l\u00b4a remarqu\u00e9 et a fait l\u00b4observation suivante : \u00ab Maman, tu es un bon exemple pour nous et toute la famille \u00bb.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    De la solitude au bonheur \u2013 faites la connaissance de Plenh !<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Du haut de ses 59 ans, Plenh est devenue une c\u00e9l\u00e9brit\u00e9 locale! Elle s\u00b4exprime souvent dans \u00ab Women voices for change\u00bb (les voix des femmes pour le changement), une \u00e9mission de radio locale dans la province de Banteay Meanchey. Sa confiance continue de cro\u00eetre au fur et \u00e0 mesure qu\u00b4elle prend part aux nombreuses formations organis\u00e9es par WEST. Plenh est reconnaissante d’avoir rencontr\u00e9 Mme Sinat qui l\u00b4a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e au programme. Elle vivait une vie de solitude, d’isolement et de peur. La peur constante que la personne avec qui l\u00b4on vit peut nous attaquer violemment pour la moindre des raisons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Plenh a renou\u00e9 avec la personne chaleureuse et heureuse qu\u00b4elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 auparavant. Gr\u00e2ce aux comp\u00e9tences enseign\u00e9es par WEST, elle est d\u00e9sormais capable d\u2019\u00e9viter les situations de violence \u00e0 la maison en ayant des dialogues productifs constants. Elle partage ses exp\u00e9riences avec les femmes du groupe ainsi qu’avec son mari.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    De la Tha\u00eflande \u00e0 Banteay Meanchey \u2013 faites la connaissance de Thuy !<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

    Thuy, 53 ans, est la personne id\u00e9ale \u00e0 qui s\u00b4adresser quand on veut des conseils ! Et pas n\u00b4importe quel conseil. Pour avoir des salaires d\u00e9cents et lutter pour un emploi l\u00e9gitime, elle est la personne qu\u00b4il vous faut! Fi\u00e8re m\u00e8re de trois filles et la femme d’un agriculteur, Thuy passe ses jours \u00e0 partager et apprendre mutuellement avec d’autres femmes sur ce que cela signifie de migrer pour le travail. Elle accepte n\u00b4importe quel emploi qu’elle peut trouver et appr\u00e9cie d’\u00eatre de retour dans son village de Banteay Meanchey. \u00catant elle-m\u00eame une ancienne migrante, Thuy avait peur de s\u00b4impliquer activement dans des activit\u00e9s communautaires. Sa vie en Tha\u00eflande \u00e9tait pleine de hauts et de bas, vivant sans documents l\u00e9gaux. Ce qui avait comme cons\u00e9quence qu\u00b4elle n\u00b4avait jamais un travail ou un salaire d\u00e9cent. Son engagement avec WEST a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 stimuler sa confiance en soi. Maintenant, elle en sait beaucoup sur les salaires d\u00e9cents et le fait de se battre pour un emploi l\u00e9gitime.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
