Je m’appelle Kyerewa Asamoah Sekwe. Je suis la coordinatrice du projet Leave No Woman Behind au Ghana, au Kenya, au Mali en Afrique et dans le monde. J’ai eu l’occasion de voyager et de participer \u00e0 des r\u00e9unions avec des groupes de d\u00e9tentrices de droits de femmes handicap\u00e9es et j’ai v\u00e9cu des moments magiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le premier moment \u00e9tait lorsque j’ai voyag\u00e9 avec Madame Alice Appiah, une enseignante malvoyante du Ghana pour le Forum africain \u00e0 Addis Abeba, en \u00c9thiopie. J’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9merveill\u00e9e par la fa\u00e7on dont elle interagissait et s’engageait avec d’autres intervenants sur les questions politiques touchant les femmes handicap\u00e9es en Afrique, afin de s’assurer qu’elles ne soient pas laiss\u00e9es pour compte et que leurs voix soient entendues \u00e0 tous les niveaux. Lorsque je l’ai interrog\u00e9e sur sa passion pour le plaidoyer, elle a indiqu\u00e9 qu’elle ne peut pas voir mais qu’elle peut parler pour que sa voix soit entendue. Par cons\u00e9quent, elle utilisera sa voix pour les sans-voix de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La seconde a \u00e9t\u00e9 ma visite au Mali, pour une r\u00e9union d’\u00e9valuation. Dans l’une des communaut\u00e9s visit\u00e9es, j’ai vu des femmes handicap\u00e9es en r\u00e9union pour discuter des probl\u00e8mes qui les touchent dans la communaut\u00e9 et de la mani\u00e8re dont elles peuvent faire appel aux autorit\u00e9s locales pour les r\u00e9soudre. J’ai rejoint la r\u00e9union pour \u00e9couter et partager mes exp\u00e9riences avec elles. Mon interaction avec toutes ces femmes a chang\u00e9 ma perception des femmes handicap\u00e9es et de leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 briser l’\u00e9cole de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Elles profitent des opportunit\u00e9s qui leur sont offertes par ce projet pour s’exprimer avec assurance dans toutes les r\u00e9unions, \u00e0 tous les niveaux.
